My Community Cares (MCC) is hosting a kickoff event Tuesday, September 19 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the Ft. Miro room at the Monroe Civic Center.
MCC is a community-driven approach that brings children and families with lived experience in the child welfare system, community members, and agencies together to co-design and implement a network of quality services and supports. These services and supports are provided with equity to promote child and family well-being and prevent children from entering the foster care system. Through MCC, children and families, and community members come together to establish relationships, share experiences, support one another, and build community resiliency.
