The SAFER (Stopping Abusive Family Environments Rural Services) Task Force is a collaboration of professionals and community members who have a direct impact on victims or perpetrators of domestic violence, sexual assault, dating violence, or stalking. SAFER Task Force meetings are held quarterly in six rural parishes in NELA. This meeting is an opportunity for the Task Force members to meet jointly to celebrate Domestic Violence Awareness Month. Additionally, this is an opportunity to collaborate and share our ideas for keeping victims safer and holding offenders accountable.
