The Homeless Services Program is led by Kristie (Hodges) Hall. Kristie has a master’s degree in social work and is a Licensed Master Social Worker with the state of Louisiana. She has served two United Methodist Churches as youth director for 17 years. Kristie is a 19-year Wellspring employee who joined the staff in 2004 as the domestic violence child advocate for the Morehouse Parish office. When The Wellspring initiated its first general homeless program in 2006, Kristie became one of the first case managers for the Home At Last program which is still in existence within the Homeless Services department. Kristie has served as the Program Manager for the Homeless Services Program and in 2015 was selected to serve as the Director. She and her staff are responsible for developing and implementing a wide range of outreach, prevention, emergency shelter and rapid re-housing services to Northeast Louisiana’s most vulnerable populations. These programs provide outreach, emergency shelter, referral services, and rapid re-housing to the community’s street homeless which can include families with children under the age of 18, individuals and Veterans/Veteran families. Prevention services to keep individuals, families and Veterans from losing their housing are also provided. The Homeless Services program serves 12 parishes.
